Paul West

I am a BACP registered integrative counsellor looking forward to working with you and helping you shape your perspective into a healthy and productive one.  Whether it’s your career, your relationships, or anything else that’s important to you, I’ll help you through my integrative approach to develop the habits and skills you need to effectively deal with the challenges, changes and emotional moments you encounter in life.

About Me

I am a non-judgmental and confidential integrative counsellor.

Through therapy I've helped clients break through the obstacles that seem to be holding them back in life.

Life's too short to be unhappy, unsure or unfulfilled by one's self - so what are you waiting for?

Let me help you learn and develop better ways to understand and handle the issues that are standing in the way of your goals.

I have extensive experience in working with various issues such as: anxiety & depression, relationships, sexuality, childhood sexual abuse, sexual orientation, trauma, PTSD, family, identity, loss, self-esteem, stress, military life/experiences and school and work related issues.

As a registered member I adhere to the ethical framework of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

My fees are £ 40 for 50 minutes/session.

Some reduced fees (concessions) may apply depending on your salary circumstances.

I am also in a position to have sessions via Skype.

What to Expect

After contacting me by email or telephone, we can agree to meet for an initial assessment. During this assessment you can give me some background about yourself and decide whether you would like to work with me. If this is the case, we can then commit to a working alliance which will usually mean that we will meet once a week. This alliance might be short term, for a single issue or goal, or longer term. If you have been struggling with something for years or since childhood, time is needed. Even if it was possible to condense a long-term issue into a small timeframe, my own experience has shown me that the results are not integrated unless attention is given to getting used to living within your new way of being in the world.
